At Hickory Senior Living, you’ll find a cozy, Southern community that offers physical support and a welcoming and active environment for your loved one.

About the Community

Founded in 2001, Dogwood Fulton has been proudly serving the senior citizens of Itawamba County and the surrounding area for over a decade. Our southern-style architecture creates a homelike setting that makes leaving home feel like coming home. Dogwood features a peaceful and secure environment perfect for enjoying a walk around our beautifully landscaped grounds or relaxing in our rocking chairs on one of our large open porches.

At Dogwood, residential suites are equipped with their own thermostat and units have plenty of space for a small in-room sitting / TV-viewing area. Families are encouraged to decorate residents’ rooms with their existing furniture and décor as well as other personal belongings.

Nutritious meals, medication management, housekeeping and personal assistance are just a few of the many services we offer at our Fulton assisted living community. Additionally, our professional staff is on duty 24 hours a day to assist residents whenever needed. At Dogwood we’ve set the standard for assisted living care for seniors in North Mississippi and Northwest Alabama. Dogwood has earned a reputation for being a name people can trust. What families like most about Dogwood is the staff’s true appreciation for seniors who value and wish to retain their sense of independence as long as possible.   Here at Dogwood Fulton, we know that senior living isn’t one-size-fits-all. Each senior who comes to us may be in a similar time of life; however, every person’s situation is unique, which is why we offer a variety of options in our senior care levels. In our assisted living facility we still promote independence, while providing more assistance with medicine administration and monitoring, help dressing and getting out of bed if necessary, and more.

Services & Amenities

Assisted Living

Dogwood Fulton is an assisted living community, which provides our residents with assistance with their activities of daily living (ADL’s). ADL’s include, but are not limited to, assistance with bathing, dressing, housekeeping, medication assistance, and laundry services. Our individual care plans allow Dogwood to customize a plan to meet each of the unique needs of our residents. Some residents require little or no assistance with certain ADL’s, but may require full assistance with others. In addition, these needs most likely will change over time as folks grow older. Our all-inclusive rates allow families to not worry about additional costs fluctuating daily based on the care the resident needs. Select Hickory Senior Living locations offer memory care/special care programs for those requiring additional services such as secure communities designed for those residents that may have the potential to wander due to dementia/memory loss or just need additional monitoring.

Benefits & Amenities

Salon Services
Residents can enjoy an on-site private beauty salon and licensed beautician to look and feel their best. Our ladies can have their hair “done” and men can get a fresh cut or shave. A full list of services is available upon request and services provided from the salon are at an additional charge.

Safety First
The safety and well-being of our residents is our number one priority.

  • Abundant walking space
  • Hand rails, grab bars,  and smoke alarms
  • Closely monitored emergency call lights
  • Attentive resident assistants

Although we have an open door policy, all visitors are required to check-in and doors are locked for security after hours. A secure and safe environment is not just another priority, it is our top priority.

Housekeeping
In the South, the order and cleanliness of home has long been a source of pride for seniors. We are honored to provide a clean and organized space for our residents to enjoy. Some of the house-keeping and services we provide for each resident include:

  • Cleaning, dusting, and mopping rooms and bathrooms
  • Washing, drying and folding laundry
  • Bed linens are changed weekly (or as needed)
